At Fastbreak AI, we’re here to change how sports operations are managed. With the power of artificial intelligence, we deliver precision scheduling, seamless league and tournament management, group travel, and smarter sponsorship activation for professional, college, and amateur sports organizations. Our platforms support everything from the pro league office to the weekend youth tournament.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of our platform. You’ll own the design of complex, high-stakes workflows used by tournament operators, event directors, and participants, and you’ll set the bar for design quality across the product. This role is for someone who’s comfortable with ambiguity, can turn messy operational problems into simple, elegant experiences, and wants real influence over what we build and why.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full design process across major areas of the platform, from discovery and problem framing through delivery and iteration.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap, prioritize the right problems, and balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Plan and run research with tournament operators, event directors, and participants, combining qualitative insight with product analytics to guide decisions and measure impact.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished high-fidelity designs that make data-heavy, multi-step operational workflows feel intuitive.
  • Establish navigation and interaction patterns that scale across the platform and hold up for power users managing large events under pressure.
  • Plan and run usability studies, then turn the findings into clear design improvements.
  • Lead the evolution of a scalable design system that keeps web and future mobile experiences consistent.
  • Use AI-assisted tools like Cursor to prototype and refine front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), working closely with engineering so what ships matches the design intent.
  • Mentor other designers, lead critiques, and champion craft and user-centered thinking across the company.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex web-based SaaS products
  • Expert in Figma, with hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools like Cursor
  • Proven ability to lead qualitative and quantitative research and turn findings into product decisions
  • Experience building or scaling a design system
  • Strong communicator who can present and defend design decisions to executives, engineers, and customers
  • Thrives with ownership and minimal process in a fast-growing startup

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to keep you covered.
  • A 401(k) plan with employer contributions to invest in your future.
  • The opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing and well-funded company and make your mark.
  • More about careers at Fastbreak AI.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
