We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer II to join Fairmarkit’s Product Design team. You’ll lead design for a key product area, shaping experiences that are simple, powerful, and trustworthy — even when underlying procurement workflows and data are complex.

This role is for someone who can own ambiguous, high-impact problems end-to-end, set clear direction, and elevate team outcomes through craft, influence, and mentorship.

Why this role matters

Fairmarkit supports procurement teams making high-stakes decisions every day. When our experiences are clear and intuitive, customers move faster, trust the system more, and get better outcomes. At the Senior Product Designer II level, your work doesn’t just improve features — it shapes how an entire product area succeeds, and raises the quality bar for how we design and deliver across teams.

Responsibilities: What You’ll Do
  • Lead a major product domain. Own end-to-end design for a high-impact area across discovery, delivery, and iteration.
  • Set design direction. Define and communicate a clear design POV aligned with product strategy and company goals.
  • Drive problem framing. Partner with PM/Eng/Data to identify the right problems and recommend solution paths.
  • Simplify complex workflows. Deliver elegant experiences for data-heavy, multi-step procurement journeys.
  • Align stakeholders through ambiguity. Clarify goals, tradeoffs, and priorities to keep teams moving forward.
  • Use insight to steer strategy. Combine research, feedback, market trends, and data to guide direction.
  • Lead research efforts. Plan studies, recruit participants, synthesize results, and drive action from findings.
  • Raise the craft bar. Produce high-quality UX/UI with strong interaction detail and edge-case coverage.
  • Influence beyond your squad. Ensure your product area connects into cohesive cross-product journeys.
  • Mentor and uplift others. Support designers through critique, pairing, guidance, and example.
Requirements: What We’re Looking For
  • Deep senior-level experience. 7–9+ years designing digital products, ideally B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
  • Strategic portfolio impact. Work that shows you shaped direction and delivered measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ambiguity leadership. Strong track record of owning unclear problems and setting a path forward.
  • Cross-functional influence. Comfort partnering at a senior level and influencing roadmaps.
  • Advanced Figma practice. Deep mastery of systems, prototyping, and scalable UI patterns.
  • Strong research competence. Ability to lead studies and translate insights into product decisions.
  • UX mastery and accessibility. Consistent delivery of usable, inclusive, human-centered experiences.
  • Complex data fluency. Experience designing dashboards, tables, filters, and enterprise workflows.
  • Clear English communication. B2+ proficiency.
Nice to have
  • Enterprise or procurement background. Experience in ERP, fintech, procurement, or similar spaces.
  • Cross-team initiative experience. Led multi-squad or multi-surface projects.
  • Design systems contributions. Ownership or major influence on shared patterns/components.
  • UX writing skills. Experience shaping system-level copy and guidance.
  • Tooling familiarity. Maze, Miro/FigJam, Confluence, Jira, etc.

For this role we are looking for a candidate based in the East Coast in the US. You must reside in one of the following states: GA, MD, IN, MA, NH, NJ, NY,  NC, OH, RI, or PA. The annual compensation is $161,000 - $210,000. The range is provided in accordance with applicable U.S pay transparency laws. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.

Headquartered in Boston, and backed by a $35.6M Series C co-led by OMERS, Highland, Notable Capital, Insight Partners, and ServiceNow. We are looking for exceptional candidates who want to help grow our company into a global enterprise and make their mark on the B2B tech industry. Come soar to new heights with us!
