The team

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Kraken in the Crypto space. We need an IC to take ownership of complex design challenges in the Onboarding team where we help users unlock access to a wide range of Kraken products. The team is highly data-focused and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders across Kraken to make sure we can offer access to crypto to as many people as possible around the world.

The opportunity
  • Raise the bar for the industry by creating forward-thinking designs that elevate Kraken’s brand and set new benchmarks for excellence.

  • Shape and evolve Kraken’s design language, strengthening our visual alignment across products while also expressing unique brand expressions for products and platforms.

  • Craft exceptional user experiences by collaborating closely with other designers, product managers, data analysts and engineers.

  • Influence stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of design quality and user experience.

  • Own your work fully, taking accountability for design quality, outcomes, and measurable results.

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, using customer insights to refine and advance our design direction.

  • Contribute actively to design reviews, both seeking and offering constructive, supportive feedback that helps raise team-wide standard

Skills you should HODL
  • 5+ years of proven experience delivering end-to-end product design, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality mobile app work.

  • Experience working with KYC in compliance-heavy industries.

  • Strong UX and visual design skills, with the ability to take on challenging problems and deliver thoughtful, user-centered solutions.

  • Data-informed approach using both quantitative and qualitative data, experience with A/B testing and experimentation as well as being impact driven.

  • Balanced approach to design decisions considering user insights, business needs, and technical feasibility.

  • Knowledge of prototyping tools and techniques, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Comfortable taking ownership of high impact features or projects while collaborating closely with peers and cross-functional partners.

  • Open-minded and collaborative, with an eagerness to learn from feedback and iterate on designs.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and align with stakeholders.

  • Strong familiarity with human-centered design principles and research methods, and a willingness to apply them to improve outcomes.

  • Ability to present and defend design decisions confidently to both peers and non-design audiences.

  • A bias to action in a fast growing, remote-first org.

  • Knowledge of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and trading is a plus, but not required
