At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Netflix Experience Design (XD) is an inclusive blend of design disciplines, focused on the company mission of entertaining the world. XD is responsible for the global Netflix experience, including how we acquire, retain and measure customer health, member streaming platforms, and developing, producing, marketing, branding and promoting Netflix experiences.

This is a remote-friendly role with mandatory team meetings ~4 times a year in Los Gatos or Los Angeles for collaboration and team building.

About the Netflix Games XD Team

The Netflix Games XD team delivers games to 200+ million people across mobile, web, and TV. This takes work across discovery canvases for members and nonmembers, as well as the game developer lifecycle to ensure our development partners can build and launch awesome games and experiences for the Netflix platform.

About The Role

The Netflix Games Tools XD team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to focus on game development and game platform (enterprise) tools. In this role, you’ll be embedded within the Game Tools design team, which creates the applications, tools, and services that empower game developers and internal operations to launch cloud and mobile games successfully on the Netflix platform.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll leverage your design expertise to craft intuitive, efficient, and scalable tools and workflows that enable internal and external game development partners to seamlessly develop and publish their games to Netflix. You’ll lead design projects from concept to delivery, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers, UX writers, engineers, product managers, and UX researchers.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the UX and UI design of proprietary tools that enable game developers and partners to integrate features and services into their games, and launch their games on Netflix.

  • Identify, research, and drive individual design initiatives –  down to the nitty gritty details to the holistic user journey – while navigating a complex set of user problems and business requirements.

  • Collaborate with a team of designers, engineers, product managers, technical writers, UX writers, UX researchers, and other stakeholders to develop new concepts and improve our suite of tools and features.

  • Work with our established design systems, and also contribute and innovate on new design components specific for our tools and unique needs.

  • Present your design work and strategy to key stakeholders and team members for visibility and feedback.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience) in the B2B2C space, leading high-impact initiatives from concept to execution

  • Experience with game development, game platforms, game tools, and game developer personas

  • Experience working with complex internal systems and partner-facing platforms

  • A passionate energy for great design and amplifying our team culture

  • A versatile portfolio that showcases deep interaction and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work autonomously, make strategic decisions independently, and drive clarity within ambiguous problem spaces

  • Understanding of complex workflows designed to scale across diverse, global operations teams

  • Experience contributing to and consuming component-based design systems

  • Excellent communication and people skills that excite stakeholders and drive decision-making

  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours and travel occasionally to California in order to collaborate with team members and stakeholders

Why You’ll Love Our Team

  • A business environment that’s big on individual responsibility and efficient process

  • Work with stunning, supportive designers on problems that matter

  • Top of market compensation and benefits, flexible time off, and work-life-balance

  • Remote flexibility to balance work-from-home and in-office work, so long as you’re able to be onsite for meaningful moments of collaboration (when safe)

  • Freedom and flexibility to craft your own design workflow, while harnessing Netflix’s world-class design system and tooling

  • An inclusive environment to help you do your best work and feel genuinely supported

  • Being empowered to imagine what games on Netflix could be and create new work streams and tools to enable the best game developers in the world
