Role

Octus’ Product Analytics team is seeking a Senior Product Analytics Specialist to unlock the power of data-driven decision-making across our organization. You will play a pivotal role in extracting valuable insights from complex data sets to shape our product strategies, enhance customer experience, and drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a deep understanding of our products, internal tools, strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, as well as key customers segments
  • Data Transformation: Combine and transform raw data into clean datasets leveraging data-warehousing best practices that allow you to look at the data in new ways
  • Insights Generation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform company strategies and decision-making processes
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and present clear, comprehensive reports and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights for your stakeholders
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, editorial, marketing, and IT teams to ensure alignment of insights and strategies across the organization
  • Product Analysis: Be a key part of the product development lifecycle from impact analysis and prioritization through event tracking plans and recommendations for iterative improvements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, 5+ years of experience working in data analytics, statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data transformation, analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into stories and recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

At Octus, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.

The salary range estimate for this position is $100,000-$120,000.

The actual compensation will be at Octus’ sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
