Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with suppliers to develop and implement lean manufacturing principles, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with Safety as the top priority.
- Lead supplier engagement initiatives to build capabilities in lean practices, including continuous improvement, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate suppliers on lean tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction within the supply chain.
- Act as a liaison between GE Aerospace and suppliers to ensure alignment with FLIGHT DECK principles and strategic objectives.
- Drive the adoption of lean tools to support supplier development, capacity and capability building.
- Build supplier relationships and effectively operate as a trusted advisor to key supplier stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety across the supply base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations supply chain or related sciences from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations and /or Training
- Willing to travel 50% to 75%.
Desired Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in lean leadership roles facilitating kaizen events for value stream mapping, HK planning, 5S, Daily Management, SMED, TPM, Goal Deployment, Pull System, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing, supplier development, or operational excellence in shop floor and transactional environments, consulting is a plus.
- Ability to coach the knowledge of lean tools and methodologies, including continuous improvement, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication (including public speaking) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with a focus on safety and quality.
