What You'll Do

As a Senior Platform SDET, you'll join a new product development team where you will be responsible for leading the team’s automated and manual testing efforts. You’ll build automated test solutions to ensure the team is able to continuously deliver the highest quality product and data to our clients, on time. You’ll be challenged often and will be a quality champion for the product where you’ll help coach the team on quality engineering and testing best practices. 

  • Design and implement automated end-to-end, performance, load, scalability, and security tests

  • Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to understand the product vision and requirements

  • Champion for quality to be driven into the product from the start

  • Set and drive expectations around quality for each product release

  • Create test plans, analyze test results, and create test data scenarios

  • Document and track defects to closure

  • Ensure that production defect root causes are analyzed and addressed in a timely manner

  • Improve processes and tools that help shape the quality framework within the team and across the organization

  • Conduct in-depth technical and performance analyses in support of production issue troubleshooting

What You'll Need

Minimum Requirements (Education, certifications and experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET designing, developing and maintaining test automation for modern microservices and web applications

  • Hands-on experience with PyTest or other testing framework for microservices and data pipelines functional, end-to-end and performance testing, 

  • Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java

  • Intermediate proficiency with SQL

  • Experience with CI/CD

  • Comfort working in a Linux environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Travel to and from company headquarters in Austin, Texas is required for new hire orientation, onboarding and occasional company meetings

Preferred Requirements:

  • REST APIs

  • PostgreSQL

  • Redis

  • Docker and Kubernetes

  • AWS

  • Familiarity with k6 or Gatling

  • Familiarity with Kafka

  • Familiarity with statistics and healthcare domain

Compensation Range: $110K - $145K
