Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior NetSuite Engineer to join our NetSuite product and custom software development practice. The successful candidate will be one of the leaders on the NetSuite development team, providing technical expertise and guidance while working closely with clients to deliver innovative solutions. This is a client-facing consulting role that requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor members of the NetSuite development team, providing technical guidance and support.
- Design, develop, and implement customizations, integrations, and enhancements within the NetSuite platform.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers and clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong relationship building and excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards to maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases; design test automation for unit, functional, performance, and scalability testing.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to engineers across all levels.
- Act as a client advisor by leading discovery sessions, showcasing NetSuite features, and offering guidance on best practices.
- Stay current with NetSuite updates, new features, and best practices to provide clients with the most effective solutions.
- Train, mentor and/or serve as performance coach to Engineer I's and Engineer II's.
- Delegates and leverages work to ensure staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in NetSuite development and implementation.
- Expert in SuiteScript 2.x (incl. map/reduce), SuiteFlow, and SuiteCloud patterns; fluent in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands on experience with SDF and DevOps/CI-CD practices(branching, code review, automated validation,artifact deployments)
- Strong experience of API development and hands-on experience in the development of RESTful integration
- Proven experience in designing efficient, scalable and secure solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working on web and web services projects with a focus on distributed systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer certification.
- Experience with NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, SOAP integrations, or REST integrations.
- Experience with performance and scalability of ERP systems including NetSuite governance and performance tuning.
- Experience with SaaS/Cloud architecture and Oracle database architecture.
- Experience with ETL tools and techniques.
- Experience with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions (e.g. Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft, Workato).
- Agile development experience and/or Scrum Master certification.
- Experience in release management and software development life-cycles (SDLC).
