About the Role

The Senior Motion Designer is responsible for bringing Xometry’s brand to life through high-quality video, animation, and motion graphics. Reporting to the Global Creative Director, this role translates brand strategy into engaging visual stories across campaigns, product narratives, and key brand moments.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that combines creative craftsmanship with collaborative problem-solving. The Senior Motion Designer will work closely with Brand, Growth, and Content Marketing teams and other cross-functional partners.


Core ResponsibilitiesCreative Direction & Quality (Execution-Focused)
  • Execute video and motion deliverables that meet established creative and brand standards.
  • Apply Xometry’s visual identity consistently across all motion and video content.
  • Edit and refine deliverables to ensure clarity, pacing, polish, and brand alignment.
  • Implement consistent motion language, typography, transitions, and production techniques across projects.
Video & Motion Execution
  • Develop concepts and translate briefs into storyboards, scripts, and production-ready plans.
  • Produce video content end-to-end, including editing, motion graphics, animation, sound design, and final exports.
  • Produce short-form, platform-native motion assets optimized for paid and organic social (9:16, 1:1, 4:5).
  • Design attention-grabbing openings and clear visual hierarchy to support engagement and conversion goals.
  • Create multiple variations of hooks, messaging, and formats to enable A/B testing.
  • Adapt campaign assets into modular social cutdowns while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Optimize exports for platform specifications and sound-off viewing.
  • Plan and support video shoots by preparing shot lists, production documents, and creative references.
  • Execute post-production workflows including rough cuts, revisions, color correction, audio cleanup, voice-over integration, and final delivery formatting.
  • Build and maintain reusable motion templates, graphic systems, and modular assets to streamline production.
Production & Partner Coordination
  • Create production timelines, track milestones, and manage day-to-day project progress.
  • Coordinate with freelance editors, videographers, voice-over talent, and external vendors to gather assets and deliver finished work.
  • Prepare creative briefs, production documentation, and asset lists to support efficient collaboration.
  • Balance hands-on production work with vendor support based on workload and deadlines.
 Collaboration & Feedback
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify messaging, gather inputs, and align on deliverables.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate on creative assets to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Contribute visual references, mockups, and motion tests during early planning stages to guide direction.
  • Communicate production constraints, timelines, and technical considerations clearly to stakeholders.
Standards & Documentation
  • Follow established brand and motion guidelines when producing content.
  • Document file structures, workflows, naming conventions, and export standards.
  • Maintain organized project files and shared asset libraries for team accessibility.
Scope & Decision-Making (Execution-Oriented Framing)
  • Make day-to-day creative and technical decisions within defined brand guidelines.
  • Recommend formats, motion approaches, and production methods based on project goals and timelines.
  • Flag timeline, quality, or resource constraints early and propose practical solutions.
