Our mission is to be the technology backbone for strategic competition against peer adversaries. These missions – including intelligence, information operations, special activities, and perception management – are happening today and their success or failure will determine if we go to war tomorrow.

We've been on the front lines of these missions since 2019, and have grown to support a wide range of missions across all US service branches, multiple combatant commands, partner nations, interagency stakeholders, and the intelligence community. We deploy both hardware and software products to support people on the front lines that span collection, planning / assessments, and effects.

We've grown from $3M in run-rate revenue in 2021 to $80M in run-rate revenue today. We've been profitable since 2022 and have raised $91M in venture capital funding through Series B. We're valued at $1.5B as of 2025.

About the role

We're looking for a Strategic Growth to pursue go-to market strategies and deliver major growth outcomes at Vannevar. This position is aligned to one of our greenfield growth initiatives and includes significant scope and responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who brings experience and intuition growing defense product deployments from small-scale pilots into larger projects with the Department of Defense or other departments in the federal government. Growth strategists know how to launch foothold pilots, convert pilots into larger projects, and embed those projects within existing programs or invent new ones within the national security space.

We're looking for someone who has firsthand experience fielding new technology and is committed to getting better tools into the hands of American servicemen and women. They can creatively problem solve around roadblocks to do so, and catalyze organizational change, if necessary. They are curious, visionary, and determined.

We believe that a necessary foundation for the ability to sell and build programs is domain expertise in national security technology, a sense of urgency, and relentless ground game. If you are successful, you will ultimately lead a business line for Vannevar that delivers on major growth outcomes within 12-18 months of joining the company.

What you'll do

  • Set strategy with mission team leadership. Create a go-to market strategy that will create new footholds to embed in current defense programs and develop into new category-defining programs.
  • Deliver growth outcomes. Execute on this strategy to deliver growth from concept through contract close.
  • Lead mission teams. You will build a team around the footholds you develop in your first year.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience working on defense policy with government leaders and/or in defense acquisition and program management

Or

  • 7+ years delivering growth for defense products, ideally in a startup environment for 4+ of those years

And

  • Demonstrated ability to decomp programs and requirements to formulate a GTM strategy for new technology
  • Experience or intuition for launching pilots with federal customers, driving them to success, and converting them to paid engagements.
  • Experience or intuition for creating an ambitious, holistic strategy for a greenfield growth vertical in the federal government
  • Mission domain experience in national security technology
  • Must have an active Top Secret Security Clearance or have held one previously.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems and export controlled data
  • Up to 50% travel
What we offer

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 base salary + bonus + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 100% remote first culture. You can work from anywhere in the US and all full time employees have WeWork access
  • Unlimited PTO including competitive vacation and holiday schedules
  • Lifestyle stipends - Monthly mental health, wellness & fitness stipend, in-home office setup stipend and family planning assistance
  • Salary top-up during military reserve duty
  • Fully paid parental leave
  • Child and pet care reimbursement during travel
