The Technology Department at Dimensional leverages the rapidly evolving state of the art to engineer scalable, innovative, and research driven solutions to improve our client’s financial lives.   

 

The Technology Service Center at Dimensional is responsible for the delivery and operation of firmwide technology capabilities. We are looking for a Senior Media System Solutions Engineer to join our team and translate our customers’ goals into working solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful design, delivery, and operations of Media Management solutions, as well as be responsible for the administration and operations of various media asset related tools across Broadcasting and Editorial.  The most important qualifications are a passion for creativity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and approaches.

What you might work on: 

 

As a Senior Media Systems Solutions Engineer at Dimensional, you will provide day-to-day management of Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and hardware to deliver best in class technical support to creative, production, and client service teams. This role provides resolution to complex problems and lives at the intersection between Studio Operations, IT, and Post-ProductionThis role requires a working knowledge of all interconnected studio systems and can troubleshoot most day-to-day technical issues to keep studio workflows on track. 

 

  • Manage and oversee the operational workflows for media acquisition, ingest, storage, delivery, data loss protection, permissions, and archive. 

  • Oversee and troubleshoot, studio production hardware and software, including coordination with external vendor SMEs. 

  • Coordinate production rollouts with technology for new MAM and Video production systems. 

  • Build relationships with global marketing and other departments to evaluate current business processes; identify and prioritize areas of improvement. 

  • Execute best practices for the management of digital materials, including photographs, videos, and project files, including Adobe products. 

  • Support the marketing team on metadata standards and best practices. 

  • Ensure the accurate archiving of digital content as determined by business rules and per compliance and security protocols. 

  • Partner across departments and key stakeholders to plan system customizations, upgrades, integrations, testing and maintenance. 

  • Develop and maintain documentation on MAM system architecture, processes, and workflows. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • B.S./B.A. in Information Management, a related technical degree, or equivalent work experience.  

  • Successful track record implementing one or more enterprise-grade Media Asset Management solutions (Iconik, Oolaya Flex, Primestream, etc.), including cloud services (Lucidlink, Wasabi, AWS S3 Glacier Deep Archive), and file synchronization tools (Syncovery, etc.),  

  • Strong knowledge of digital media workflows, processes, standards, materials, and techniques. 

  • Experience with Post-Production Video and Audio Editorial, Animation, VFX/Graphics and Finishing/Color software (Adobe Creative Suite, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, Softon Movie Recorder, Plug-In Management) 

  • Digital Asset Management experience, including video metadata creation and preservation. 

 

Preferred Competencies:  

  • Strong technical knowledge of video acquisition systems and underlying infrastructure (ingest servers, video routing, camera to NAS, camera to cloud, remote video village, wireless signal transmission) 

  • Demonstrated expertise with a multitude of video conferencing technologies including enterprise grade infrastructure as well as software-based products (Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, Cisco/Polycom Telepresence, etc.). 

  • 5+ years’ experience in supporting large-scale meetings in an enterprise grade video conferencing endpoint environment. 

  • Programming experience with Crestron/AMX a plus. 

  • Experience integrating audio and video routed IP traffic supplied by broadcast technologies such as Dante and Evertz (or similar) into video conferencing infrastructure. 

  • Experience in managing both cloud and on-premise registered endpoints. 

  • Experience with still photography shoot and capture hardware, software, and workflows (DSLR cameras, Capture One, live review, retouching, monitor calibration, HDR, LUTs) 

  • In-depth knowledge of video and audio transmission protocols to include SIP and H323.  

  • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification is a plus.
