The Senior Matter Mobility Specialist serves as the operational lead for the firm's Matter Mobility program, ensuring consistent execution, governance, and continuous improvement of Matter Mobility processes. This role provides day-to-day oversight on complex projects, coordinates workflow among team members, and serves as the primary subject matter expert for the movement of client information across approved repositories.
A Day in the LifeThe Senior Matter Mobility Specialist serves as the operational lead for the Firm's Matter Mobility program, ensuring imports, exports, and internal client data movements are completed accurately, securely, and in compliance with Firm policies and Information Governance standards. This role leads complex Matter Mobility projects from planning through completion, manages workflows and priorities, and serves as the primary resource for operational and technical guidance. This role collaborates closely with attorneys, General Counsel, Information Governance, Information Technology, and other business units to support data migrations, attorney transitions, client transfers, and other strategic initiatives. Additionally, this position drives process improvements, supports training and development efforts, monitors quality and performance metrics, and serves as the escalation point for complex Matter Mobility matters. We Know YouThe ideal candidate will have experience supporting records management, information governance, legal operations, or a related function within a law firm or professional services environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in records management, information governance, legal operations, document management, or a related field.
- Experience handling confidential client information, electronic records, and secure data transfers preferred.
- Proficiency with document management systems, secure file transfer platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and related technology tools.
