Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic marketing partner to business unit teams, translating client needs and market dynamics into segment‑specific content strategies and marketing programs.
- Lead segment marketing efforts for advisors, asset managers, and institutional investors-defining segment insights, messaging, buying journeys, and key use cases.
- Develop solutions‑level messaging frameworks that connect Morningstar's capabilities to client problems, workflows, and value drivers.
- Build sales enablement materials including pitch decks, product narratives, positioning guides, client case studies, and competitive insights.
- Partner with Research, Product, and BU Marketing teams to ensure content and messaging are accurate, differentiated, and aligned to strategic priorities.
- Support go‑to‑market planning for new capabilities, research initiatives, and priority commercial campaigns.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industry landscape, regulatory environment, product categories, and competitive positioning across our segments and solutions.
- Adhere to content governance, quality standards, and brand guidelines for all sales‑ and client‑facing materials.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in marketing, product, or sales within asset management, investment management, wealth management, or financial services.
- Deep knowledge of the professional investor ecosystem and client needs, including advisors, asset managers, and institutional investors.
- Proven experience developing value propositions, messaging frameworks, and GTM materials for sophisticated B2B audiences.
- Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio construction concepts, and the workflows of professional investors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for commercial, marketing, and client‑facing stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with sales teams and creating tools that support commercial conversations.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, market insights, and client feedback.
- Ability to influence cross‑functional partners in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to work at least 4+ days/week onsite in New York, Chicago, or London.
