Job Description

CapTech’s Senior Marketing Event Specialist plays a vital role in planning and executing high-impact events that drive awareness, strengthen relationships, and support business growth across industries. We’re looking for an independent, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can translate strategic goals into memorable event experiences for our clients.

  • Lead the research and evaluation of high-impact events, providing strategic recommendations that shape CapTech’s overall event strategy, working closely with brand, industry, and sports marketing leaders.
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of client-facing and marketing events including sports marketing activations, industry conferences, receptions and dinners, thought leadership programs, and client hospitality.
  • Partner with business development and industry teams to design event strategies tailored to key markets (financial services, healthcare, public sector, sports, energy and natural resources, and beyond).
  • Manage end-to-end event logistics, from venue selection and vendor management to on-site coordination and post-event reporting.
  • Oversee sponsorship activations and partnership engagements, ensuring alignment with brand and client priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal creative and content teams to develop event collateral, signage, digital campaigns, and presentations that elevate the attendee experience.
  • Track and analyze event performance metrics (attendance, engagement, lead generation, ROI) and share insights to improve future events.
  • Manage event communications in HubSpot and other CRM tools — including landing pages, forms, email workflows, and follow-up campaigns.
  • Support social media promotion and content scheduling to amplify event visibility and engagement.
  • Maintain cross-functional communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Stay current on event trends and experiential marketing innovations, especially within sports and professional services.
  • Travel as needed to support on-site event execution.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5 years of professional experience in marketing, event management, or experiential marketing
  • Proven event marketing success, including managing complex, multi-stakeholder events from concept through execution
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Experience in sports marketing, sponsorship activation, or B2B event planning preferred
  • Creative thinker with the ability to adapt event strategies to diverse audiences and industries
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
