The Senior Manager, USG Marketing will lead a team of marketing professionals and report to the VP, USG Strategic Communications.
Job Summary
As a strategic marketing expert, you will leverage Maxar's strong customer relationships with our largest government customers to enable growth in new and existing accounts. You will develop and execute effective, measurable marketing initiatives that span marketing strategy, industry leadership events, content marketing, earned media, and digital initiatives. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with internal and external partners, including the USG Communications Director, Government Relations, Product, and other business unit marketing and communication teams.

• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $126,000.00 - $210,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic marketing goals and research initiatives with clear objectives, reviewing competitor content and strategies to inform effective marketing approaches.
- Design, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns, including programs, technical assistance, and resource materials.
- Establish and promote Maxar's clients and executives as subject matter experts within their target government markets through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Lead and develop the Government Marketing team, building and budgeting projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery against agreed objectives.
- Drive strategic alignment across multiple account teams and projects by attending regularly scheduled calls and meetings and managing prioritization and progress of work and projects.
- Foster collaboration and consistency across account teams and projects by communicating regularly with colleagues and ensuring aligned marketing strategy and knowledge dissemination.
- Conduct high-level market research and analysis, reporting findings to executive management and demonstrating progress and impact of marketing efforts.
- Oversee the development of diverse marketing content, including marketing brochures, event support, sales demonstrations, infographics, traditional and digital advertising, and more.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client's business and competitive landscape, and actively contribute to client meetings and discussions.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government marketing or a similar industry, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing teams responsible for strategic planning, business development, or client management.
- Ability to put together a comprehensive strategic marketing plan aligning to its business pipeline and strategic growth plan.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. government market landscape, with experience in both digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to produce and organize content that is grounded in government market expertise and fulfills the strategic requirements of sales and Business Development.
- Demonstrated understanding of the U.S. government procurement process to include shaping, capture and keep-it-sold strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Earth Intelligence technology and its role in global security.
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to adapt to new ideas and change.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with a customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in the government technology landscape.
- Execution-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.
