The Senior Manager, Technical Talent Acquisition is focused on partnering closely with our growing technology organization to create and drive strategies that attract and elevate hiring of high performing engineering and security talent. Identifying market trends and opportunities to leverage new avenues including AI, partnerships, events and sourcing platforms to support hiring to plan. 


Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will lead a team of Technical Talent Partners and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.  The Senior Manager sets the team’s strategic direction and works closely with technology operations to drive successful delivery and develops a high-performing team to achieve impactful results.


This is a remote opportunity within North America and will be open till Sunday, April 27th, 2025

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition focusing on technical recruitment
  • 3+ years in a leadership role within the SaaS or cybersecurity industry.
  • Experienced building relationships as a trusted advisor and partner to senior-leaders in Engineering as well as key stakeholders at leadership levels across the business, to build and scale our technical talent acquisition function.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of technical talent partners through high growth periods ensuring a focus on delivery and partnership and exceptional candidate experience 
  • Executing strategies to support hiring targets in progressive, high-growth and dynamic technology organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in technical hiring including developers and  security specialists. Data driven and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.  Optimizing team performance, managing and coaching performance metrics to ensure productivity and accountability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to support and develop strategic plans, contributing to achieving measurable results.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving technical recruitment operations
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally with peer leaders and teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to influence peers and leaders by presenting data-supported proposals, simplifying complex topics, and integrating feedback into decisions.

What you can expect:

  • Develop and implement the technical talent team strategic objectives and roadmap aligned with our holistic Talent Acquisition strategy. Focusing on how we attract and hire technical talent. Leveraging team input, client insights, market trends, best practices, and stakeholder feedback to inform strategic direction. 
  • Lead our talent partners focusing on their growth and development. Coaching with a  focus on high performance culture.
  • Leverage our talent programs and employer brand teams to explore opportunities for external partnerships, hiring programs and events to source talent.
  • Collaborating closely with Engineering operations and HR Business Partners to ensure an efficient and effective hiring plan for both candidates and hiring teams. 
  • Partnering with tech leadership on the evolution and scale of our developer hiring programs.
  • Explore various sourcing channels and opportunities to connect with high performing technical and security talent. Driving this as a success metric in talent.
  • Ability to partner and influence senior leaders on optimizing hiring processes, areas of opportunities and talent best practices.
  • Ensuring transparent and continuous communication between talent and the technology organization. Identifying bottlenecks, challenges. Working with partners to address and implement solutions.
  • Develop and streamline reporting opportunities, keeping a close pulse on the efficacy of pipelines and team KPIs.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $163,000 USD and $221,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $136,000 CAD and $184,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
