Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead end- to- end technical project management for healthcare and life sciences data and analytics products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Create detailed project plans and release strategies aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure and mature agile development and technical project management practices a s well as coach teams on process improvements when necessary.
- S upport day-to-day project development team activities.
- Track progress, unblock issues, and provide project, program and executive -level insights on project status.
Team Management & Coaching (LMA - Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable)
- Supervise and mentor 2-3 Technical Project Managers.
- Establish and refine project management standards, templates, and best practices.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Tool Administration & Enhancement
- Administer and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and configurations.
- Enhance Jira usage across teams, including custom fields, automation, and reporting.
- Support and improve Tempo time tracking integration within Jira.
Governance & Standards
- Define and enforce delivery governance across projects and teams.
- Develop and maintain standardized processes for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Ensure consistent application of agile methodologies and technical project management practices.
- Contribute to software labor capitalization efforts by tracking and documenting qualifying work.
Resource Management
- Support leadership in assessing development team capacity and projecting future resource needs.
- Coordinate with product and engineering leadership to ensure availability of necessary resources.
Communication & Collaboration
- Facilitate communication across teams to ensure clarity on objectives and timelines.
- Create tailored reporting (including executive dashboards) for different stakeholder audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates .
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Culture Development
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture within Product and Engineering.
- Champion process rigor and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related technical field required ; Master's degree preferred.
- 8 + years of experience in technical project management, including 2+ years in a people management role.
- Certifications such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master, and /or equivalent related certifications are strongly desired .
- Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools, especially Jira (admin experience required ).
- Experience with Tempo time tracking module preferred.
- Familiarity with software labor capitalization is a plus.
- Deep understanding of agile development frameworks and product/engineering operations.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into execution and concisely communicate project and program status .
- Proven e xperience managing projects related to software engineering, data science, data engineering, and other te chnical projects .
- It is preferred that the candidate has software development experience and has a strong understanding of the software development life-cycle and DevSecOps .
- Results-driven, self-motivated , flexible, customer-focused, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
