Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

Our world class recruiting team builds the foundation of our success by finding exceptional people that share Coinbase’s vision of enabling economic freedom. In this role you’ll find yourself partnering directly with local and global platform leaders to own key technical hires that move the needle for the business. You’ll work closely with the global recruiting team to help build and improve processes, develop creative sourcing strategies and build proactive, long term strategies for attracting talent. If you thrive on ownership, working creatively and collaboratively with teammates, this is the role for you!

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Partner with senior engineering leadership on all aspects of the hiring process.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of engineering recruiters and sourcers to meet the needs of our ambitious hiring plans.
  • Develop sustainable, efficient, and data driven recruiting/sourcing strategies for the Platform organization
  • Measure and cascade recruiting reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence, and make decisions informed by data.
  • Be accountable for overall team goals in line with industry benchmarks.
  • Help ensure your team is structured to ensure we are aligned to adequately support the business and flexible to changing business priorities.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a technical industry or company.
  • 4+ years of people management experience. Experience managing leads or managers is a plus.
  • Experience building and managing inclusive and diverse teams. Track record of building and coaching high performing recruiting teams.
  • Deep knowledge across the entire candidate lifecycle, from proactive talent mapping, research, sourcing, interviewing, to closing.
  • Experience working closely with engineering leadership and using data to influence hiring and workforce strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively and operationalize those ideas quickly.
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing difficult to attract candidates.
