What are we looking for?
Are you prepared to steer a team at the forefront of distributed systems, big data, and database technology? We are seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to head our Security Datalake team. Security Data Lake team is accountable for building Products & Services on top of our AI SIEM Platform; it is a critical component to enhance User Experience of our customers to efficiently serve through integrations with customer facing products. In this role, you will guide a team of skilled and innovative engineers, shaping our future products in AI SIEM space.
What will you be doing?
- You will lead and grow a high-performing team delivering Visualisation capabilities on top of our Singularity Data Lake. Your role involves coaching, mentoring, and holding the team accountable for delivering values to our customers.
- Drive the strategic direction and operational execution of the team. You'll oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, UI/UX, senior leadership, and field teams, to deeply understand and incorporate business needs into our software solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of dashboards and reports tailored to various user personas (SOC analysts, CISOs, etc.).
- Champion data storytelling and intuitive UI/UX to present threat insights clearly.
- While hands-on coding isn't a primary focus, a solid understanding of software engineering practices and database technologies is crucial. You'll be guiding a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in data scalability.
- Oversee the financial aspects of software development, particularly focusing on cost-effectiveness within our cloud/SaaS environment. You will be responsible for developing strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-efficient deployment of our services. Your expertise will be vital in identifying areas for cost reduction, negotiating with vendors, and implementing best practices in cloud cost management to drive both financial efficiency and high performance in our software solutions.
What skills and experiences should you bring?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years experience in software engineering, including leadership roles, preferably within a cloud/SaaS environment or cybersecurity
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team of software engineers. Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Experience in data analytics, or data visualization, strong knowledge of data visualization tools and frameworks (Tableau, Grafana, Power BI, Kibana, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, logs, alerts, and common data sources (SIEMs, EDRs, firewalls, etc.).
- Experience with big data environments or Security Data Lakes (e.g., Snowflake, AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
- Profound understanding of database technologies, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), and SaaS models. Experience in managing software projects.
- Experience in SOC environments or working closely with threat detection and response teams.
- Familiarity with technolgies, languages : SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript (React, Node.js)
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing remote or distributed teams. This includes proficiency in virtual collaboration tools, fostering a strong remote work culture, and effectively handling the unique challenges and dynamics of remote team management.
- Capability to think strategically and understand the broader impact of decisions on the organizational dynamics and objectives.
- Comfort with fast-paced, changing environments and ability to adapt to evolving business and technology needs.
- Nice to have is background in UI/UX or human-centered design principles.

Base Salary Range
$202,400—$253,000 USD
