Cohesity is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team as a Senior Manager, Services FP&A. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, oversight and analytics for the company’s services portfolio The role partners closely with our services leadership and cross-functional partners to drive bookings & profitability growth, investment decision support and long-term financial strategy. 

We’re looking for someone with an analytical mind and strong knowledge of finance who is a self-starter, a great communicator and passionate about driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate possesses deep FP&A experience with a strong understanding of services economics and business drivers. This position reports to the Finance Director, Marketing & Customer Experience.  

 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE: 

Financial Strategy & Planning 

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Professional Services and Customer Experience teams. 

  • Lead quarterly, annual and long-term financial planning for the services businesses. 

  • Develop financial models to evaluate pricing, profitability and capacity for new and existing service offerings. 

  • Translate business growth and corporate goals into services financial impacts. 

Reporting & Executive Insights 

  • Develop clear, executive ready reporting for sr. leadership. 

  • Monitor and pursue variances with plans and forecasts, providing actionable insights along with risks and opportunities analyses. 

  • Partner with business operations teams to develop and refine appropriate performance measurements and appropriate dashboards. 

  • Leverage AI tools for deeper understanding of data and business trends for the services businesses. 

Transaction & Investment Support 

  • Provide financial diligence on and deal support on services sales to deliver on margin goals. 

  • Partner with business, procurement and legal teams with evaluations of third-party vendor contracts. 

Financial management 

  • Manage services P&L, headcount and third-party investments. 

  • Track and analyze backlog, billings, deal profitability, capacity utilization and margins by geography. 

  • Partner with accounting on vendor spend accruals, revenue recognition as needed. 

 

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING: 

  • 7 years + experience working in Services FP&A.  

  • A curiosity to learn and take initiative to proactively solve problems independently.  

  • Flexible and agile with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Ability to understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans and present to financial and non-financial leaders.  

  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills  

  • Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to build complex financial models and perform detailed analysis.  

  • Solid overall business acumen including accounting/financial experience.   

  • Experience with SFDC, Adaptive Insights, Tableau, Netsuite and various AI tools.  

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.

  • Attention to detail.   

YOUR EXPERIENCE: 

  •   Bachelor’s degree required 

  • MBA or equivalent degree a plus  

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$137,360.00-$171,700.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
