About the role:
This role will own Collective’s lifecycle marketing and organic growth strategy, building a cohesive engine that educates, engages, and retains self-employed professionals. You’ll design scalable frameworks powered by automation and AI while driving measurable results in engagement, acquisition, and retention.
You’ll shape the voice of Collective, elevate member stories, and position us as the go-to resource for businesses-of-one. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for someone who can execute independently while building and leading a high-performing team.
What you'll do:
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy, from lead nurture to member retention
- Build and optimize segmentation, personalization, and automation frameworks at scale
- Drive measurable improvements in engagement, conversion, reactivation, and retention through data-driven experimentation
- Partner with RevOps and Growth to design workflows, integrations, and automation systems (including AI-powered personalization)
- Develop a unified content and organic social strategy that reflects Collective’s brand voice and drives awareness and engagement
- Oversee SEO and keyword strategy to grow search-driven acquisition
- Support engagement programs that connect and celebrate Collective members, including virtual and local events
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years of experience leading lifecycle marketing programs with direct channel ownership in email, nurture, and retention
- Proven ability to build advanced segmentation, personalization, and automation frameworks that drive measurable results
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (SFMC, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar) and comfort working with data, reporting, and A/B testing
- Strong storytelling and creative skills with the ability to turn insights into compelling, member-focused campaigns
- Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing
- Additional experience across organic growth channels (social, SEO, content, community, or events) is a plus
