About Collective:

Collective is on a mission to redefine the way businesses-of-one work. Our technology and team of trusted advisors help members achieve financial independence by taking care of everything from business incorporation to accounting, bookkeeping, tax services, and access to a thriving community, all in one integrated platform. We believe in empowering self-employed people to enjoy the same tax savings that big companies get, so they can focus on their passion, not paperwork.

Featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Yahoo, Bloomberg, Financial Times, TechCrunch, and more. We are backed by General Catalyst, Sound Ventures (Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary), QED Investors, Google’s Gradient Ventures, Expa, and other investors who have financed iconic companies like YouTube, Substack, Twitch, Box, Hims, Instacart, and Lyft.

About the role:

This role will own Collective’s lifecycle marketing and organic growth strategy, building a cohesive engine that educates, engages, and retains self-employed professionals. You’ll design scalable frameworks powered by automation and AI while driving measurable results in engagement, acquisition, and retention.
You’ll shape the voice of Collective, elevate member stories, and position us as the go-to resource for businesses-of-one. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for someone who can execute independently while building and leading a high-performing team.

What you'll do:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy, from lead nurture to member retention
  • Build and optimize segmentation, personalization, and automation frameworks at scale
  • Drive measurable improvements in engagement, conversion, reactivation, and retention through data-driven experimentation
  • Partner with RevOps and Growth to design workflows, integrations, and automation systems (including AI-powered personalization)
  • Develop a unified content and organic social strategy that reflects Collective’s brand voice and drives awareness and engagement
  • Oversee SEO and keyword strategy to grow search-driven acquisition
  • Support engagement programs that connect and celebrate Collective members, including virtual and local events

What you'll bring:

  • 6+ years of experience leading lifecycle marketing programs with direct channel ownership in email, nurture, and retention
  • Proven ability to build advanced segmentation, personalization, and automation frameworks that drive measurable results
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (SFMC, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar) and comfort working with data, reporting, and A/B testing
  • Strong storytelling and creative skills with the ability to turn insights into compelling, member-focused campaigns
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing
  • Additional experience across organic growth channels (social, SEO, content, community, or events) is a plus

What we offer:

  • Remote-Friendly Environment: Flexibility to work from home while staying connected to the team
  • Health & Wellness: $200 quarterly reimbursement to support your well-being
  • Time Off: Flexible PTO plus 14 company holidays
  • Comprehensive Coverage: 100% medical, dental, and vision for employees; 75% coverage for dependents
  • Parental Leave: 16 weeks fully paid
  • Retirement & Ownership: 401k plan plus an equity package
  • Team Connection: Quarterly virtual events and an annual in-person summit
  • Compensation Range: $130,000 to $215,000 depending on the level (Senior Manager or Director)

We provide salary ranges for each role to give you a transparent view of potential compensation. Final offers are determined based on the skills, experience, and qualifications, as demonstrated throughout the interview process.
