About the Role

Hi, I’m George Shang - I lead Jane’s Growth Strategy & Operations team. I’m looking for an experienced, analytical & strategic thinker to help us address some of Jane’s most pressing growth opportunities.

The Senior Manager, Growth Strategy & Insights will work in our growth group to tackle key problems over a wide range of topics, such as growth analysis, revenue forecasting, market sizing, pricing, and more. Day to day, this person will evaluate and model new initiatives, work across senior stakeholders to drive alignment, and lead projects through to completion. This is a highly strategic role, sitting at the heart of how we drive growth for the company.

This role reports into the Growth Strategy & Operations team - we are a lean team, and success in the role depends on strong ownership, comfort operating independently, and effective collaboration across functions.

What Impact We're Looking for You to Make:
  • Build and sustain complex marketing models. Apply structural rigor and inform strategic decisions around how Jane tracks and evaluates marketing influence, spend, and other KPIs.

  • Own the full arc of an analysis, from insight to action. Across some of Jane’s most complex growth initiatives: structure the problem, build the analysis, craft the narrative, present to exec audiences, and follow up to make sure recommendations actually get implemented.

  • Drive Jane’s pricing and packaging strategy. Bring structure to how Jane thinks about pricing: grounding decisions in customer research and financial modeling, aligning stakeholders across the org, and shaping how new offerings get priced and packaged over time.

  • Track performance and diagnose when something goes wrong. Monitor how the business is doing against plan, and when a number moves unexpectedly, get to the real driver rather than the first explanation that sounds plausible.

  • Act as a thought partner and ‘go-to’ analytical resource for growth leaders; forecast, measure, and make optimization recommendations across channels: e.g., Paid Ads, Direct Mail, Trade Shows, etc.

  • Take on leadership’s most pressing priorities. Serve as a trusted thought partner on high-stakes, often ambiguous problems, working alongside Jane leadership to surface key insights and produce structured executive level perspectives.

  • Build strong working relationships across Jane. Partner effectively with teams across Marketing, Support, General Managers, and beyond, earning trust as someone who can get things done well with anyone in the building.

  • Raise the analytical bar for the team. Build repeatable frameworks and self-serve tools that make the team's recurring work faster and more rigorous over time.

What Experience We Need
  • Consulting or comparable background. 4+ years in top-tier management consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) with a track record of driving operational improvements & owning strategic initiatives. Candidates from Tech BizOps, corporate strategy, or comparable analytical backgrounds will also be considered.

  • Strong quantitative skills. Proficiency with complex financial models, comfort working with large and imperfect datasets, and the ability to produce a defensible answer. SQL experience, or a willingness to learn it, is a plus.

  • Structured problem solving. A hypothesis-led, answer-first approach, with the ability to take an ambiguous, poorly-defined problem, break it down, and build a clear path to a solution.

  • Slide-building and storytelling. The ability to construct a clear narrative, build the deck to support it, and present it to executive stakeholders.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. Able to make progress without a fully-scoped brief and to prioritize effectively under time constraints.

  • A high bar for quality. Detail-oriented, producing work suitable for an exec level audience.

  • Independence and collaboration. Works autonomously while building trust and collaborating effectively across the organization.

  • Domain interest. Experience in or exposure to SaaS is a plus.

If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
