About This Role:

The Infrastructure Design Engineer will drive the readiness and architectural design for Crusoe.ai’s cloud infrastructure platform. You’ll be a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Crusoe’s cloud systems. This role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise and strategic design planning to drive system readiness, enhance system resilience, and support our mission of providing cutting-edge, environmentally sustainable AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Engineering:

    • Develop scalable and efficient physical designs for data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and network systems.

    • Generate detailed design documentation such as floor layouts, rack elevations, cabling schematics, and power usage projections.

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE) and corporate requirements.

  • Capacity Planning and Optimization:

    • Analyze space, power, and cooling requirements based on current and future compute needs.

    • Recommend design improvements for performance, cost, and energy efficiency.

    • Conduct site audits and evaluations to identify capacity or operational risks.

  • Project Management:

    • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, vendors, and contractors during new builds or expansions.

    • Support project timelines, budgeting, procurement, and construction oversight.

    • Track milestones and provide updates to stakeholders.

  • Technical Support and Documentation:

    • Maintain and update infrastructure documentation using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM systems.

    • Create standards and best practices for deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

 Compensation Range: Compensation will be paid in the range of $215,000 - $235,000 base salary. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
