This role is critical to executing our inorganic growth strategy, from market scanning and target sourcing through deal execution and post-merger integration. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of corporate development experience, product and technical fluency, and operational rigor to drive acquisitions that accelerate innovation and market leadership.

About the Team

The Corporate Development team is part of the larger Corporate Strategy organization within Zoom. You will join a talented and diverse team driving Zoom’s corporate strategy, corporate development, venture investments, and strategic business development. The team identifies and executes on the company’s most critical business initiatives with a strong ownership mindset, quantitative rigor and a culture of collaboration. We operate at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and product innovation, focusing on high-impact opportunities that enhance our market position and growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

Corporate Development and M&A

  • Identifying acquisition and investment targets and developing detailed business cases by analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to address overarching business objectives.

  • Leading M&A and investment processes, including target evaluation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning.

  • Developing comprehensive financial models to assess potential transactions, including performing discounted cash flow analysis, evaluating accretion/dilution effects on earnings, and conducting comparable company analysis.

  • Crafting clear narratives and decision packets that drive alignment on strategy, deal rationale, and capital allocation.

Post-Merger Integration Leadership

  • Developing and executing post-merger integration plans, outlining key milestones, timelines, and success metrics across all relevant functions (product, engineering, sales, marketing, etc.).

  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams to harmonize roadmaps, sunset redundant features, and accelerate time-to-market for integrated solutions.

  • Identifying and executing go-to-market synergies, including cross-selling opportunities, bundled product offerings, and aligned sales channel strategies to accelerate revenue growth post-acquisition.

Value Realization & Synergies

  • Identifying, tracking, and measuring synergies (cost savings, revenue growth, operational efficiencies) to maximize the value of the acquisition.

  • Leading and driving integration initiatives to ensure successful commercialization and adoption of acquired technologies across products and business units

  • Proactively addressing any integration risks, ensuring timely execution and mitigation of potential challenges that could impact business performance.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, venture capital, or private equity within the technology sector; 2+ years experience leading complex post merger integrations preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, business, statistics or economics. MBA is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record managing acquisitions >$100M enterprise value, from LOI through integration.

  • Strong M&A deal execution experience, including financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiations.

  • Experience in AI/ML domain with understanding of LLMs, AI-driven product strategy, and commercialization of applied AI. Domain knowledge in collaboration technologies and/or customer experience (CX) solutions is a strong plus.

  • Strong numerical fluency, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to identify insights and drive high impact decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability and prior experience in using customer, market, and competitive data to create business strategy and connect it with inorganic growth initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, leadership skills with the ability to influence at senior levels without authority to drive executive buy-in and alignment.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$150,800.00

Maximum:

$329,900.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
