Senior Manager, Communications

Today, Kajabi serves over 70,000 customers. As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re doubling down on telling the Kajabi story: clearly, consistently, and creatively. We’re looking to raise brand awareness, increase traffic, and establish Kajabi as the most trusted name in creator commerce. That starts with owning the narrative. The Sr. Manager, Communications is a hands-on leader responsible for defining what Kajabi is trying to say, how we say it, and who we say it to.

Reporting to the VP, Marketing, this role will own Kajabi’s holistic communications strategy including PR, organic social media, and marketing campaigns. You’ll partner closely with our CEO, marketing team, and agency partners to develop and amplify messages that drive awareness and engagement. You’ll also lead a small but mighty team across PR and social, helping them execute with speed and creativity.

You’ll need to be as comfortable pitching a reporter or crafting a tweet as you are developing a long-term thought leadership playbook. This role requires someone who blends strategic thinking with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. The metrics you will directly be accountable for are brand awareness and traffic.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Owning and driving Kajabi’s external communications strategy, spanning PR, organic social, executive visibility, and brand storytelling.
  • Overseeing all communications channels, including our PR agency and internal social team, to ensure a consistent, aligned, and compelling brand voice across platforms.
  • Crafting Kajabi’s brand narrative in partnership with our VP of Marketing, CEO, CPO and other leaders, translating it into sticky messaging and breakthrough moments that put Kajabi on the map for the right type of creators.
  • Developing and executing high-impact marketing campaigns that support key launches, creator stories, company milestones, and industry moments.
  • Writing or overseeing the creation of press releases, thought leadership pieces, speeches, LinkedIn content, and social campaigns.
  • Building strong relationships with top-tier media, influencers, and creators to secure coverage, partnerships, and speaking opportunities.
  • Managing reputation and message discipline across channels—including proactive story mining and reactive media moments.
  • Identifying, elevating, and supporting key executives and creator partners as Kajabi spokespeople.
  • Monitoring industry trends and brand sentiment, using insights to shape narrative and measure success

About You

  • 8–12 years of experience in strategic communications, PR, or social-led brand building, ideally with both in-house and agency background in tech, media, or creator spaces.
  • Proven ability to lead external communications and social campaigns that drive brand awareness, press coverage, and traffic.
  • Excellent storyteller with a portfolio of creative, narrative-led work across earned and owned channels.
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices and how to translate brand strategy into scroll-stopping content.
  • Experience managing a PR agency and internal social/content teams.
  • Strong grasp of the creator economy and a passion for the future of independent business.
  • A doer: comfortable toggling between writing copy, pitching reporters, leading brainstorms, and advising execs.
  • Experience building cross functional campaigns that tie into broader company and marketing strategy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Data-driven with a pulse on what’s working and what needs to evolve.

Kajabi Team Benefits Package

  • Company paid premiums for medical, dental and vision insurance for self and family.
  • Company sponsored HSA account.
  • Company 401K, 100% match up to 6% of employee contributions.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • Fitness incentives package.
  • Company funded mental health resources.
  • Wellness perks.

In-Office Requirement Statement

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.

  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 3-4 times a quarter and therefore is best situated in Western Time zones.
  • Preferred LA or Orange County area
