We are hiring a Senior Manager of CloudOps to lead our North America operations team. This leader will bring deep technical skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and operational rigor. You will ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud services while building a highly capable team that lifts heavy, grows continuously, and delivers consistently.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the North America CloudOps team, coach, grow, and inspire excellence while keeping turnover at near-zero rate.
- Own service reliability, availability, and operational excellence KPIs.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with R&D on new features, bug resolution, and reliability improvements, while driving quick resolution and closing loops independently.
- Advance automation, observability, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Build a culture of ownership, rigor, and accountability, with a focus on results and growth.
- Constantly seek opportunities to integrate AI into tooling and processes.
- Balance process discipline with agility to adapt in dynamic situations.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and systems operations to ensure high reliability and performance.
Location
- This role is currently remote but based in North Carolina, with a preference for candidates in or near the Raleigh area.
- While this is a remote position today, hybrid work may be introduced in the future as business needs evolve.
- Candidates should have the ability and willingness to work from a local office or regional hub if required.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in CloudOps, SRE, or DevOps roles, with 3+ years managing teams.
- Expertise in at least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong foundation in networking, virtualization technologies, and systems internals (Linux, cloud OS concepts, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a distinct ability to build trust and alignment across teams.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, tactical execution, and strategic vision.
- Analytical, methodical, and strategic, with a passion for data-driven decisions.
- Experience working across distributed teams and leveraging senior engineers effectively.
