The Senior Manager, Cloud Implementation & Delivery is responsible for leading a team of engineers responsible for onboarding and implementing new customers into the RapidScale platform. This role owns the end-to-end delivery of customer implementations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meet architectural standards, and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
This leader partners closely with Architecture, PMO, Sales, and Managed Services to ensure seamless execution from post-sale through steady-state operations. The role combines technical leadership, team management, and operational accountability to scale delivery excellence across a growing customer base.

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $148,500.00 - $247,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery Leadership & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) implementations for new customers
- Ensure successful onboarding, migration, and transition into managed services
- Drive consistency, quality, and timeliness across all implementation engagements
- Partner with PMO to manage timelines, risks, and delivery milestones
- Act as escalation point for complex customer implementations and delivery challenges
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Cloud Implementation Engineers
- Establish performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career growth
- Build a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative team culture
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development
Technical Leadership & Oversight
- Provide technical guidance across implementations involving:
- Active Directory, Windows Server, and core infrastructure services
- VMware, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and security requirements
- Oversee complex migrations and validate technical designs and execution approaches
Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience throughout onboarding and implementation
- Engage with customers as needed on escalations, complex scenarios, and executive-level concerns
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure alignment on customer expectations and outcomes
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Drive standardization and scalability of implementation processes and methodologies
- Develop and maintain documentation, playbooks, and delivery frameworks
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across delivery
- Monitor key delivery metrics and continuously improve team performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Architecture, Security, Support, and Managed Services teams to ensure seamless transitions
- Ensure alignment between design, delivery, and ongoing operations
- Act as a bridge between technical execution and business outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8+ years of experience in a related field
- OR a master's degree with 6+ years of experience
- OR 12+ years of relevant professional experience
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams
Core Experience
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure, managed services, or enterprise IT environments
- Experience leading customer onboarding, migration, or implementation programs
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Windows Server (2003-2022) and Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure)
- Networking fundamentals (firewalls, switching, routing)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Zerto)
- Migration tools and methodologies (Carbonite, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Experience with multi-tenant cloud platforms (VMware vCloud, hybrid cloud)
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with ITSM processes and service delivery frameworks
