ABOUT THE ROLE: 

The Senior Manager, CIT Platform is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, and retention of Fifth Third’s Collective Investment Trust (CIT) platform within Institutional Services. This role provides enterprise-level ownership of the CIT business, ensuring alignment with institutional client needs, market opportunities, and the bank’s broader strategic priorities. 

 

As a platform leader, this role is accountable for the design, oversight, and continuous improvement of CIT-related processes, systems, governance, and external vendor relationships. The position partners closely with Investment Management, Fiduciary Services, Institutional Sales, Risk, Legal, and Operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing solutions. 

 

This role plays a critical part in driving platform growth, enhancing the institutional client experience, and strengthening Fifth Third’s competitive position in the institutional marketplace. 

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • CIT Platform Strategy & Growth: Leads the enterprise strategy for the CIT platform, driving growth, retention, and expansion of CIT capabilities aligned to institutional client needs and business objectives. 

  • Platform Oversight & Governance: Establishes and oversees governance frameworks to ensure CIT platform integrity, including regulatory alignment, fiduciary standards, and internal risk management practices. 

  • Operational Design & Process Ownership: Leads the design and continuous improvement of CIT operational processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the platform. 

  • Systems & Infrastructure Leadership: Oversees the effectiveness of systems and technology supporting the CIT platform, partnering with technology teams to enhance functionality, integration, and performance. 

  • Vendor & Provider Management: Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers supporting the CIT platform, ensuring service quality, alignment with business needs, and adherence to contractual obligations. 

  • Market & Competitive Positioning: Evaluates institutional market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings to inform platform strategy and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation. 

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partners across Investment Management, Fiduciary, Sales, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of platform initiatives. 

  • Client & Sales Enablement: Serves as a subject matter expert on CIT capabilities, supporting institutional sales efforts, client engagements, and complex solution development. 

  • Performance & Business Management: Monitors platform performance, including asset growth, client retention, and profitability, and drives initiatives to improve outcomes. 

  • Stakeholder Influence & Alignment: Builds strong relationships across senior leadership to influence strategy, drive alignment, and advance platform priorities in a matrixed environment. 

  • Talent & Team Leadership: Provides leadership, mentorship, and development across team members supporting the CIT platform, contributing to organizational capability and succession planning. 

  • Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 10+ years of experience in institutional investment management, trust/custody, retirement services, or related financial services. 

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, platform management, product management, or related leadership roles. 

  • Experience working with Collective Investment Trusts (CITs) or similar institutional investment vehicles preferred.

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to define and execute enterprise platform strategy aligned to growth and client needs 

  • Operational & Governance Oversight: Strong command of operational design, regulatory frameworks, and fiduciary requirements 

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence across a highly matrixed organization 

  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Ability to evaluate platform performance and drive data-informed decisions

Total Base Pay Range 121,900.00 - 262,100.00 USD Annual
