Senior Manager, Career Navigation (Skills + Knowledge Management)
This role leads the strategy, design, and activation of enterprise skills and knowledge management (KM). This role is responsible for developing our RTX philosophy, standards, & processes on skills and knowledge management. This results in driving and influencing cross-functional projects that improve how skills/knowledge is captured, structured, shared/developed and leveraged across the organization.
What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s knowledge management roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with WFI on skills roadmap to align on process, tech, comms, change mgmt, etc.
- Partner with executive leadership and functional stakeholders to identify knowledge/skill gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Engage with Talent Management and Learning & Development to execute knowledge management solutions and scale across the enterprise.
- Establish RTX-wide knowledge transfer program and pilot in key functions.
- Establish KM governance frameworks and content lifecycle policies.
- Lead career navigation and internal mobility initiatives, enabling employees to explore growth opportunities and align career paths with organizational needs.
- Operationalize skills strategies across the Talent domain (TA, TM, TD&L) by translating into scalable processes, tools and practices, including hiring and selection, workforce planning, and employee development to support a more agile, skills-driven organization.
- Travel up to 30%.
Project & Program Management
- Manage/engage on end-to-end delivery of KM/skills initiatives, from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation and adoption.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Utilize project management and CORE methodologies to mature skill / KM solutions.
- Track KPIs, risks, and dependencies; provide executive-level reporting and status updates.
Technology & Solutions Oversight
- Collaborate with Digital Technology and WFI to ensure system integration, compliance, and scalability.
- Partner with talent development & technical learning across the functions to ensure integration and application of standards/processes into associated platforms.
Change Management & Adoption
- Develop change management strategies to drive engagement and adoption of Skills / KM tools and processes.
- Design training materials, communication plans, and user enablement programs.
- Foster a knowledge-sharing culture across RTX and enable a skills-based organization.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading enterprise-scale workforce initiatives.
- Prior experience influencing and partnering with senior leaders across various functions, including HR such as Talent Management and/ or Leadership and Development.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
