Founded in 2017, Obsidian Security was created to close a critical gap: securing the SaaS applications where modern business happens—platforms like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and hundreds more.

Backed by top investors including Greylock, Norwest Venture Partners, and IVP, we’ve built a complete SaaS security platform to reduce risk, detect and respond to threats, and prevent breaches at the source. Our team includes leaders who helped define the categories of endpoint and identity security at CrowdStrike, Okta, Cylance, and Carbon Black.

Now, we’re transforming how SaaS is secured—in the era of agentic AI.

Today, Obsidian is trusted by global enterprises like Snowflake, T-Mobile, and Pure Storage. We protect more than 200 organizations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand—including many of the world’s largest Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

With strong global momentum, a growing partner ecosystem including SentinelOne, Databricks, and Google Cloud, and a major fundraise on the horizon, we’re scaling quickly toward long-term growth and IPO readiness. Join us as we define the future of SaaS security!

About the Team:

We are building a foundational team of Mid Market Account Executives to help the security-and-compliance community in the mid-enterprise to assess their readiness for attacks, adherence to standards, and alignment with best practices in their most important applications. Ultimately, the Obsidian platform fills many of these gaps, reducing risk and saving time for our customers. Because of the emerging and rapidly accelerating awareness of security and compliance risks in SaaS environments, we are anticipating rapid growth, which brings with it a high probability of career advancement opportunities as we grow to help more customers with these emerging risks while saving time and resources in the process.

About the Role:

This role is focused on acquiring accounts where these problems and risks are most prevalent and consequential: Healthcare, Finance and high-tech in organizations with 1k-3k employees. This team, along with the Global VP, will expand market share and develop best practices for future teams selling into this target market.

About You:

  • 3+ years experience selling Mid-Market SaaS solutions
  • Strong background in hunting and an exceptional ability to map out and break into greenfield accounts
  • Results driven and able to demonstrate a proven track record of over attainment in hunting new business
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to be exceptional
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity around outbound activities
  • A strong sales aptitude and fundamental understanding of the sales process
  • A+ discovery skills to uncover/discover customer problems and pain
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn technical concepts quickly
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced start up environment
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and via virtual channels.
  • Understanding of how to leverage other departments including Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product and Customer Success
  • A team player who can embody the Obsidian values
  • Must be willing to commute to our Boston office a minimum of 4 days per week
