Senior Manager, Brand & Public Relations
Velsera is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Brand & Public Relations to lead the development and execution of a bold brand narrative that reflects our mission to advance precision medicine. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for crafting our corporate messaging, strengthening public visibility, and amplifying our leadership in:
- Multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development
- IVD development, validation, and regulatory approval
- Clinical NGS interpretation, reporting, and adoption
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive demand generation, build trust across scientific and clinical audiences, and elevate Velsera’s profile as the partner of choice for organizations navigating the complex path from discovery to clinical implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy and Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that supports Velsera’s growth objectives and aligns with the company’s mission and values.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and sales enablement tools.
- Lead brand audits and oversee the development of brand guidelines and templates to streamline execution.
Public Relations
- Craft compelling corporate messaging and narratives that resonate with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and employees.
- Oversee external communications, including press releases, media outreach, and crisis communication strategies, to safeguard and enhance Velsera’s reputation.
- Develop thought leadership content, including white papers, executive bylines, and keynote presentations, to position Velsera as an industry innovator.
Demand Generation Support
- Partner closely with the marketing team to integrate brand strategy into outbound campaigns, webinars, events, and lead-generation efforts.
- Amplify campaign impact by leveraging media relations, social media channels, and partnerships to drive awareness and engagement.
- Work with demand-gen teams to create tailored messaging for specific customer personas and market segments.
Executive and Internal Communications
- Collaborate with executives to craft speeches, presentations, and internal updates that align with the corporate brand and strategy.
- Lead internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement and alignment with Velsera’s vision and mission.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on branding and communication strategies.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure efficient execution of brand and communication programs.
- Lead and mentor a team (if applicable), fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in brand management, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably within SaaS, healthcare, life sciences, or technology industries. Experience in genomics preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute high-level brand and communication strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Storytelling Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success in working across teams, including marketing, sales, product, and executive leadership, to achieve strategic alignment.
- Media and PR Expertise: Experience managing media relations, crisis communications, and PR campaigns that enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Metrics-Driven: Familiarity with KPIs related to brand health, demand generation, and campaign performance to measure and optimize impact.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to inspire and develop talent within the team.
