Overview:
- Vertex is seeking a Sr. Manager to spearhead the development of our strategic Integrations that enables multiple Vertex products for our customers. This role demands a deep engineering background with respect to building integrations and hands-on experience in building and scaling production-level systems. The ideal candidate will excel in leading teams to deliver high-quality solutions and will also provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership.

The Impact You’ll Make:
- In this role, you’ll lead the teams for Integrations, mainly Oracle and NetSuite ERPs that enables the consumption of our products like Tax Determination, Einvoicing and Compliance. You’ll drive technical strategy and ensure smooth product releases that align with Vertex Quality standards. Your leadership will help shape our engineering culture and create scalable, customer-centric solutions.

Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software development (preferred experience in the data space), with 5+ years of people management experience, demonstrating success in building, growing, and managing multiple teams.
- Extensive experience in architecting and building complex product integrations. Preferred knowledge of cloud-based services and tools in AWS, Azure, Snowflake.
- Strong experience with building complex product integration for Oracle and NetSuite ERPs.
- Strong experience in building production-level systems implementing DevOps best practices.
- Thorough understanding of best practices regarding agile software development and software testing.
- Understanding of security best practices when architecting SaaS applications on cloud Infrastructure.
- Ability to understand complex business systems and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies as needed.
- Proven ability to influence and deliver high-impact initiatives. Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to define and drive the team’s mission, vision, and long-term strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and collaborating effectively across departments. Strong written and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work with and lead remote teams to achieve sustainable long-term success.
