Responsibilities:
  • Architect, deploy, and operate end‑to‑end live streaming workflows for major live sports events
  • Own the signal path from ingest through encoding, packaging, and global delivery
  • Troubleshoot live stream issues in real time, including signal integrity, ad markers, and SCTE‑35 triggers
  • Lead technical projects from concept to launch, coordinating timelines across engineering, operations, and vendors
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for broadcast engineering and live event operations
  • Manage key vendor relationships, including onboarding new partners and resolving critical issues
  • Document workflows, runbooks, and system architecture to strengthen team knowledge and operational readiness
  • Partner closely with production and operations teams to ensure smooth, reliable event broadcasts

 

Salary range: $140,000-$165,000 USD

Qualifications Experience Preferred Hands‑on experience with Zixi Broadcaster and Zen Master, including designing workflows across SRT, RTMP, and HLS Excellent understanding of HLS packaging, including segmentation, manifest structure, and ABR ladder design Expertise in video encoding with H.264 and H.265, including bitrate ladder strategy and GOP optimization for live streaming Experience building and operating cloud‑based broadcast infrastructure using AWS MediaLive, MediaPackage, and CDNs such as CloudFront or Fastly Practical knowledge of SCTE‑35 for ad signaling, passthrough, and verification in live streams Experience implementing multi‑DRM solutions Familiarity with modern remote and cloud production workflows Experience with stream monitoring and quality tools such as TAG Video Systems Scripting or automation experience with Python or Bash Equal Opportunity Employer
