About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Tax Analyst - US Federal Advisory and Planning. You will work as a member of the Wells Fargo Corporate Tax team helping to solve complex tax and business issues from initial strategy to final execution. You will advise lines of businesses and management on various aspects of corporate income taxation as well as help develop and implement tax planning strategies, establishing yourself as a value added tax advisor to Wells Fargo.

$159,000.00 - $279,000.00

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Tax Analyst - US Federal Advisory and Planning. You will work as a member of the Wells Fargo Corporate Tax team helping to solve complex tax and business issues from initial strategy to final execution. You will advise lines of businesses and management on various aspects of corporate income taxation as well as help develop and implement tax planning strategies, establishing yourself as a value added tax advisor to Wells Fargo.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the US federal tax advisory and tax planning activities across all lines of business and enterprise functions
- Provide tax support, analysis, and expert advice in connection with tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and dispositions, making recommendations to minimize taxes and tax risk
- Research complex tax issues and memorialize findings/conclusions in well written memorandums
- Develop, research, document and work with team to execute on US federal tax planning strategies
- Collaborate with other groups both within and outside Corporate Tax
- Keep abreast of current, proposed and pending tax legislation and regulations to advise stakeholders accordingly
- Provide strategic consultation to senior leaders throughout the organization on tax matters
- Communicate and/or implement practices and procedures for proper control activities in accordance with the Company's internal controls policies
- 7+ years of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in US federal corporate income tax advisory and tax planning including: mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, internal restructuring transactions and experience in tax consulting and tax planning
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Taxation
- Financial institution knowledge/experience and familiarity with US GAAP and accounting for income taxes preferred
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Member of the Bar
