About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Senior Lead Digital Product Manager to own the discovery strategy for money movement and line increase capabilities across our Consumer, Co-Brand, and Small Business Card portfolios.
This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how our customers move money and manage their credit lines, ensuring our products are competitive, customer-centric, and aligned with our broader business goals. You will report directly to the Head of Product for Card and serve as a key partner to the Transact and Manage Area Product Owner, who leads the product and technology delivery teams for these capabilities.

$159,000.00 - $279,000.00

This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how our customers move money and manage their credit lines, ensuring our products are competitive, customer-centric, and aligned with our broader business goals. You will report directly to the Head of Product for Card and serve as a key partner to the Transact and Manage Area Product Owner, who leads the product and technology delivery teams for these capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Business General Managers to refine and evolve the strategic direction for money movement and line increase capabilities.
- Monitor and interpret market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy and identify whitespace opportunities.
- Analyze customer behavior, feedback, and performance metrics to uncover pain points and optimization opportunities.
- Partner with analytics, design, and research teams to ensure discovery efforts are grounded in customer needs and platform realities.
- Translate business gaps and strategic needs into high-level product concepts and build asks with sufficient detail to enable sizing and initial execution planning.
- Own and prioritize the discovery backlog, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic investments.
- Lead cross-functional discovery squads, distributing research and analysis capacity to ensure feasibility, timing alignment, and tradeoff clarity.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing clear, data-driven recommendations and updates on discovery progress.
- Facilitate alignment across product, technology, design, analytics, and business teams to ensure seamless handoffs from discovery to delivery.
- Contribute to the evolution of product governance routines, ensuring transparency, accountability, and agility in decision-making.
- Champion best practices in discovery operations, including hypothesis-driven exploration, rapid prototyping, and iterative validation.
- Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
- Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
- 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven success leading product discovery efforts for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize insights from diverse sources into actionable product direction.
- Experience working with agile delivery teams and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Deep understanding of money movement, payments, or credit line management in consumer or small business financial products.
- Experience in a matrixed organization with multiple product lines and stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with design thinking, lean experimentation, and customer journey mapping.
- MBA or advanced degree in business, technology, or related field.
- Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
- Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
- Exceptional problem solving abilities
- Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate results
