Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Senior Lateral Partner Recruiter to support the Firm's Lateral Partner recruitment. In this role you will be the key driver in leading efforts to source, attract and place top-tier partner candidates who align with our firm's culture and strategic growth plans. You’ll collaborate closely with leaders and partners to understand strategic hiring needs.

A Day in the Life

Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for lateral partner hiring, developing and executing strategic recruiting initiatives to identify, engage, and attract top legal talent. Partner closely with firm leadership and attorneys to understand evolving hiring needs and build proactive talent pipelines through targeted research, networking, referrals, social media, legal industry connections, and direct outreach. Collaborate with external search firms and recruiting partners to expand candidate reach while ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience through consistent communication and timely follow-up. Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity within the applicant tracking system, monitor recruiting metrics and analytics to evaluate hiring effectiveness, and recommend process improvements that enhance recruitment outcomes and support the firm's strategic growth.

We Know You

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of proven legal recruiting experience, with significant knowledge of partner recruitment, legal market trends, external search firm relationships, and the unique dynamics of the legal industry. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence attorneys, firm leadership, and candidates at all levels. Candidates should possess strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple searches and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology, is required.
