Sr. Key Account Manager

About the Role

As Senior Key Account Manager, you will be a cornerstone of Nomic Bio’s strategic expansion across the world’s leading pharmaceutical organizations. In this role, your mandate goes far beyond managing accounts—you will shape how the industry adopts high-plex proteomics in both discovery and translational settings.

You’ll bring an elite level of professionalism, fluency in proteomics, and a proven playbook for unlocking meaningful partnerships across the Top 30 Pharma ecosystem. From C-suite champions to principal scientists, you’ll own the conversation, guiding key stakeholders toward scaled adoption of our Nomic platform across global programs, therapeutic areas, and functions.

This is a role for the consultative hunter: someone who doesn’t wait for inbound interest but proactively builds bridges, creates urgency, and delivers results across complex decision-making webs.

About Us

Nomic Bio was founded to make biology easier to measure by solving hard problems in protein profiling. Our team fuses DNA nanotechnology, high-dimensional flow cytometry, laboratory automation, and machine learning to the world’s highest throughput quantitative proteomic platform. Our patented approach miniaturizes immunoassays via DNA scaffolds, enabling 1000+ targets per sample, even in high-throughput settings.

We’ve already partnered with over 100 companies, processed over 500k samples , and generated more than 100M datapoints - and we’re just getting started.

About You

You are a deeply credible salesperson who blends scientific fluency with commercial instinct. You’ve consistently sold into major pharma accounts and can map the org chart from memory. You understand the distinct needs of drug discovery and translational biomarker teams - and can speak fluently to both.

You recognize that sales is a team sport - and you thrive when partnered with technical sales managers and field application scientists. You know how to bring the right people into the room at the right time to advance a deal, win trust, and how to build lasting customer value at scale.

You also:

  • Thrive in long-cycle, high-stakes sales environments with multiple buyer types.

  • Love building adoption strategies that stretch across sites, functions, and therapeutic areas.

  • Are relentless in execution, but never at the expense of being a valued strategic partner.

  • Crave a high-autonomy/high-accountability role on a team where every win moves the needle for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow strategic accounts within the Top 30 global pharmaceutical companies.

  • Identify, engage, and close cross-site opportunities spanning discovery, translational research, and clinical biomarker programs.

  • Cultivate and activate executive champions while managing technical and operational stakeholders through the sales process.

  • Deliver compelling presentations and lead consultative discussions that position Nomic Bio as a long-term partner.

  • Actively create pipeline by leveraging your network and driving outbound efforts.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Scientific teams to align internal priorities with enterprise customer needs.

  • Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and structured follow-up.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of verifiable success selling into Top 30 global pharmaceutical companies, ideally in a high-growth or cutting-edge platform setting. 7+ years of field sales experience in life science tools.

  • Deep domain knowledge in proteomics for drug discovery or translational/clinical biomarker development; fluency in both areas is ideal.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently generate and drive strategic enterprise sales opportunities.

  • Existing network of decision-makers and influencers in biopharma R&D.

  • Track record of expanding footprints across complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, both scientific and commercial.

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a relevant life sciences field strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel (~30–40%); global account coordination experience is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based upside.

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • A chance to help shape the commercial playbook at one of the most innovative proteomics companies in the world.

  • A mission-driven team with the technical and operational scale to change how proteins are measured—and how drugs are developed.
