What are we looking for?

Senior Infrastructure Engineer with skills and experience in the day-to-day maintenance of Public Cloud infrastructure (focus on AWS and GCP) using IaC tools. Understanding networking and the cloud is essential. We value strong engineering skills and love solving complex problems. We share a passion for building tools that accelerate processes and improve engineering effectiveness.

What will you do? 

  • Work on systems and large impactful initiatives that allow our engineers to deliver features safely, quickly, and reliably - such as Cloud Infrastructure Platform we're building
  • Troubleshoot complex networking problems within cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implement components of the Public Cloud Platform
  • Write and maintain IaC (terraform)  code for our platform
  • Support Engineering teams and help them adopt and utilize new platform
  • Owning key metrics around performance, throughput, and failure rates

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • 5 years of Kubernetes administrator experience (Including maintenance/configuration and operations)
    • EKS/GKE  is desired (KOPS, +  any other flavours nice to have)
    • Experience with ingress controllers configuration and troubleshooting (traefik, gloo) 
    • Production experience maintaining large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure (50+ clusters) 
  • Hands-on with GitOps and IAC:
    • ArgoCD and/or Flux
  • Terraform/Terragrunt is desired 
    • Experience with module development is nice to have 
  • CI/CD:
    • Github Action 
  • Python/Golang knowledge (ability to automate day-to-day operations, read and understand the comments, and provide improvement suggestions)
  • Cloud Infrastructure:
    • AWS/GCP infra knowledge (core services + networking)
  • Understanding of SRE principles
    • SLA/SLO
    • Understanding of Observability
    • Incident response (role includes oncall) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US Citizenship and the ability to work in a government-regulated environment

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some locations, a different pay range may apply.  If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting process. You can also reach out to the recruiter with any questions.

Base Salary Range
$128,000$170,000 USD
