SentiLink provides innovative identity and risk solutions, empowering institutions and individuals to transact with confidence. We’re building the future of identity verification in the United States replacing a clunky, ineffective, and expensive status quo with solutions that are 10x faster, smarter, and more accurate.

We’ve seen tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, starting with financial services and rapidly expanding into new markets. SentiLink is backed by world-class investors including Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin.

We’ve earned recognition from TechCrunch, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, PYMNTS, American Banker, LendIt, and have been named to the Forbes Fintech 50. We have also been named a 2026 FICO Industry Vanguard Decision Award Winner. Last but not least, we’ve even made history - we were the first company to go live with the eCBSV and testified before the United States House of Representatives on the future of identity.

SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle (Bellevue), Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.

About the Opportunity:

As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll own the technical direction and architecture of critical infrastructure that serves as the foundation of the SentiLink platform. You’ll operate as a technical leader across Infrastructure and partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, SRE, and Security to design systems that improve developer velocity while increasing the reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency of our platform.

This is a highly hands-on role with cross-team scope and ownership. You’ll lead complex infrastructure initiatives from design through delivery, make architectural decisions across related systems, and help establish the standards and patterns used by engineering teams across SentiLink. You’ll be expected to identify systemic problems, navigate ambiguity and technical tradeoffs, and ensure complex projects maintain technical coherence as they scale across teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep infrastructure expertise with strong technical judgment and the ability to influence engineers and teams without relying on formal authority.

Technologies:

Python, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, etc.), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CICD, observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, SumoLogic), OpenSearch, and Linux

This is a remote, US-based role.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the technical direction and architecture of critical infrastructure domains, establishing scalable patterns and standards across SentiLink.

  • Lead complex, multi-team infrastructure initiatives from design and alignment through implementation, migration, and production operation.

  • Design and evolve AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure that enables engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate systems reliably at scale.

  • Establish best practices for Terraform and infrastructure as code, including reusable patterns, testing, configuration management, and drift prevention.

  • Architect and improve CI/CD, developer tooling, and platform capabilities that increase engineering velocity and deployment safety.

  • Drive reliability and observability across the platform through effective monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response, and operational practices.

  • Own and evolve critical infrastructure across cloud networking, IAM, security, Kubernetes, and service mesh, partnering closely with SRE and Security.

  • Improve PostgreSQL and Aurora architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability, including migrations and production troubleshooting.

  • Lead technical design reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance, code review, and mentorship across Infrastructure and adjacent teams.

  • Partner with engineering leaders to identify systemic problems, navigate technical tradeoffs, and build platform-level solutions that benefit multiple teams.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant software engineering, infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE experience, including technical leadership across multiple teams or complex systems.

  • Deep experience designing and operating production infrastructure in AWS, including networking, compute, storage, IAM, and highly available architectures.

  • Deep hands-on experience designing, operating, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production.

  • Deep experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code, including developing reusable patterns and standards adopted by other engineers.

  • Experience architecting, scaling, and migrating business-critical production systems with minimal downtime.

  • Strong SRE and observability experience, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering.

  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or Aurora, including performance monitoring, query and index optimization, scaling, and production troubleshooting.

  • Experience designing or significantly improving CI/CD systems, developer tooling, and infrastructure platforms.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience using Python, Go, or another general-purpose language to build production systems or infrastructure tooling.

  • Demonstrated Staff-level leadership: leading cross-team technical initiatives, making architectural decisions under ambiguity, and influencing technical direction without formal authority.

Salary Range:
  • $180,000/year - $250,000/year + equity + benefits

Note: This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels, and the actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, and qualifications.

Perks:
  • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents

  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Regular company-wide in-person events

  • Home office stipend, and more!

Corporate Values:
  • Follow Through

  • Deep Understanding

  • Whatever It Takes

  • Do Something Smart
