The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.

The Senior Independent Testing Specialist will be accountable for developing and executing independent operational and compliance risk control testing focusing on emerging issues and targeted testing. Strong business acumen and experience will be a determining factor in selection. Successful candidates will be articulate, thought leaders, and possess demonstrated leadership capability; they will be impressive in their inter-personal effectiveness, regarding their accomplishments, and with a proven ability to engage and influence senior management and business and risk partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderate to high risk or complex review activities in a matrixed environment and communicate emerging risks to management within Independent Testing.

  • Contribute to large scale planning related to Independent Testing deliverables.

  • Review and research moderately complex potential corrective actions, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and resolution.

  • Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet Independent Testing deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment.

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, management and lines of business regarding risk management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Full testing lifecycle experience that includes determining scope, designing test scripts, executing tests, identifying and escalating issues and risks, and documenting and reporting results.

  • Experience leading testing engagements.

  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing.

  • Experience providing “credible challenge” to business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence.

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment. 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Analytics experience with either of the following:  SQL, SAS, Python.

  • Experience with other analytics, business intelligence, or database management tools such as Toad, DAX, Microsoft Power platform, or Alteryx is a plus.

  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets; ability to retrieve data from various information systems.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.  

  • Ability to research trends and analyze data.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
