About Snorkel

At Snorkel, we believe meaningful AI doesn’t start with the model, it starts with the data.

We’re on a mission to help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes between 2015, when Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab, to the generative AI breakthroughs of today. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations to empower scientists, engineers, financial experts, product creators, journalists, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!

About the Role

We are looking for a growth-oriented strategy and operations leader to own and scale the expert contributor conversion and experience at Snorkel. This role is foundational to the success of our rapidly growing Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) business, where contributor supply is core to delivering for our customers.

As the owner of the expert contributor journey, you will define the strategy, metrics, and operating model that ensure contributors convert, engage, and thrive on our platform. You’ll identify gaps in the funnel, work cross-functionally and externally to close them, and scale processes and programs that strengthen our network. This is a highly entrepreneurial role where you will directly shape the growth engine for the DaaS business.

About the Team
  • Own the Contributor Funnel: Define and manage the full journey—from initial acquisition through conversion, onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Set the Right Metrics: Establish KPIs and dashboards that measure contributor conversion, funnel health, quality, and satisfaction. Use data to prioritize initiatives and track progress.
  • Identify & Solve Gaps: Diagnose bottlenecks or friction points in the contributor experience; lead cross-functional efforts with Ops, Product, Growth, and external stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Develop Strategy for Network Growth: Design and execute strategies to grow our contributor base sustainably, balancing demand for expertise with supply availability.
  • Build Contributor Programs: Launch and scale initiatives (training, enablement, recognition, community) that improve contributor satisfaction, retention, and performance.
  • Be a Voice for Contributors: Serve as the advocate for contributor needs internally, shaping product, process, and tooling decisions.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with GTM, Delivery, Ops, and Analytics teams to ensure contributor supply supports overall business growth.
About You
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, growth, or marketplace roles in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to design and scale conversion funnels, user/partner experiences, or supply-side ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to define metrics, run analyses, and translate insights into action.
  • Experience driving complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable in ambiguity.
  • Bonus: Experience in marketplaces, contributor/contractor networks, or data/AI companies.
