About the Job
The senior merchandise graphic designer will be responsible for leading the design team as well as spearheading and overseeing the creation of on-brand visual content for various media, packaging, e-commerce and more. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a wide range of design functions such as: creating concept presentations, developing graphic illustrations, creating vector artwork, designing e-commerce graphics, developing fresh packaging options and more - all while ensuring every piece of work submitted maintains the brand aesthetic. This is a fast-paced position and requires an applicant that can adapt quickly and manage your time effectively - must be able to self-manage when needed.

What You'll Do
- Design Leadership: Lead and inspire the design team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers. Establish and maintain high-quality design standards within the team. Review and approve designs for any and all deliverables, ensuring they meet project requirements, quality benchmarks and meet brand standards
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations. Allocate resources and manage workload distribution within the design team.
- Concept Development: Develop creative concepts and design strategies that align with the client's brand and marketing goals. Conduct brainstorming and trend research sessions to generate innovative ideas for visual content. Translate complex concepts into visually appealing and effective design and present back to management.
- High level design-work: Create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts for print, digital, packaging and social media platforms. Develop visual content for marketing campaigns, websites, advertisements, brochures, and other promotional materials. Ensure designs are optimized for different media formats and devices and meet brand standards.
- Brand Consistency & Development: Spearhead, maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design projects. Work with upper management, art and marketing teams to develop and refine brand identity to grow with product lines and company needs. Update and adapt branding elements as needed to stay current with market trends.
What We're Looking For
- Four to five years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Five or more years of experience (academic and professional) with Adobe software, including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead and provide direction to team members
Bonus:
- Experience working with chibi/ kawaii / cute aesthetics is a plus!
- Experience with digital content creators is a plus!
