CodeHunter is an enterprise-grade malware hunting platform. In seconds, we identify unknown malware threats that are undetectable to current cybersecurity solutions. By automating the analysis process, we reduce dependency on manual efforts and provide actionable intelligence that protects your organization before you're impacted.
Our platform is growing rapidly, but with growth comes complexity — and we’re committed to delivering quality at scale. We're at a pivotal moment of transformation — and we're looking for a world-class Senior Java Software Engineer to lead the charge. This is your opportunity to play a defining role in scaling a modern, event-driven microservices platform built on cutting-edge Java technologies.
You won’t just write code — you’ll architect the systems that power our next stage of growth. If you're energized by solving complex challenges on a global scale and want your work to have real, enterprise-wide impact, this is where you belong.
The Role
Our stack is modern, our product is high-impact, and we’re looking for Senior Java Software Engineer who writes clean code, designs for scale, and loves solving algorithmically complex problems at the intersection of security and AI.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that will report directly to the VP, Engineering and partner cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, Quality Assurance, and Customer Success. Your mandate: think big and raise the software engineering bar across the technical stack.
- Design, build and drive world class solutions to market collaboratively with a team of engineers in a fast-paced dynamic startup environment.
- Architect asynchronous workflows using RabbitMQ with dead-letter queues, retry policies, back-pressure handling, and graceful degradation.
- Build resilient services with high availability and 99.9%+ uptime targets, leveraging Kubernetes, circuit breakers, and service mesh patterns (e.g., Istio).
- Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement from production incidents and customer-reported bugs.
- Mentor junior teammates and perform code reviews for exceptional quality and alignment with non-functional metrics and targets.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence in software architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience (preferably Java 17+)
- Deep knowledge of Spring Boot, reactive programming, and microservices
- Experience building distributed, event-driven systems using RabbitMQ or Kafka
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development (preferably AWS & Kubernetes)
- Passion for security, privacy, and building resilient, intelligent systems.
- Deep understanding of modern software development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Desire and preference to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Bonus Points
- Experience working in malware detection, endpoint protection, or threat intelligence.
