Team: Engineering | Reports to: Technical Leadership
Bulk Exchange is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our small, fast-moving, product-focused team. You’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the core platform that powers our marketplace. Our stack includes Next.js, NestJS, Django, Docker, GCP, and PostgreSQL.
We’re seeking someone who’s excited by the real-world problems of infrastructure, logistics, and marketplace design, and who approaches development with curiosity, ownership, and a product mindset. You’ll work closely with design, product, and leadership to build features from concept to production.
We’re especially looking for someone with the curiosity and capability to adopt an AI- and automation-first mindset, someone eager to explore how tools like LLMs, workflow automation platforms, and intelligent developer tooling can optimize engineering processes, improve product velocity, and create operational efficiencies across the company.
What You’ll Do
- Lead development of new features and system architecture across the full stack
- Collaborate with product and design to deliver high-quality, performant, user-centered experiences
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs with scalability, clarity, and security in mind
- Contribute to DevOps, observability, and CI/CD best practices
- Help define engineering standards and contribute to a high-performing technical culture
- Proactively explore opportunities to apply AI-powered tools, automation workflows, and platform integrations to improve team efficiency and product quality
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack proficiency
- Expertise with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, especially React/Next.js and Node/NestJS
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Strong understanding of relational databases, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset
Bonus:
- Familiarity with Django or experience working in multi-framework environments
- Experience integrating and managing Twilio APIs (e.g. SMS, Voice, Email, Verify, Conversations) within production systems
- Familiarity with programmable messaging and telephony, and understanding of deliverability, rate limits, and Twilio Studio or Flex (if applicable)
- Ability to troubleshoot, monitor, and scale Twilio-based communication workflows in coordination with backend and support infrastructure
Why Join Us?
You’ll be joining a product with real-world traction, real customers, and real impact. As an early team member, you’ll work directly with technical leadership and help shape the direction of both the product and the engineering culture.
We value velocity, ownership, and craft—and we’re serious about building with intention and impact.
