We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to work on Trim’s customer facing features who is passionate about building high-quality software that helps people take control of their financial future. In this role you will work on the Financial Wellness product team to build features and experiences that improve the financial wellness of our customers. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring intuitive, responsive, and accessible experiences to life. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable, maintainable frontend applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web development best practices
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers and cloud architects to integrate frontend features with scalable APIs and cloud services
- Take ownership of frontend architecture and contribute to component libraries, coding standards, and design systems
- Work with product and UX teams to deliver customer-focused features that promote financial literacy and empowerment
- Drive quality by writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; contribute to continuous integration and automated testing pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and champion frontend best practices
- Help shape the future of our financial wellness tools by bringing your insights, ideas, and passion to the table
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building modern web applications using React, Angular
- Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- 3+ years of React experience
- 1+ years of Angular experience
- 1+ years of Ruby on Rails or similar backend technology experience
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and integrating frontend apps with cloud-native services
- Strong understanding of frontend performance, responsive design, accessibility, and user-centered development
- A commitment to software quality through test automation, linting, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A genuine interest in financial wellness and building technology that helps people make better money decisions
Technology skills:
- Client: Modern JavaScript and Typescript, React, Angular, Ionic, Hybrid Mobile apps
- Server: Ruby on Rails
- Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, AWS, Convox, and Docker
- DevTools: DataDog, Sentry, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, GitHub, and CircleCI
Bonus Points
- Experience working in the financial services or fintech industry
- Familiarity with analytics tools and customer behavior tracking in web apps
- Contributions to open-source frontend libraries or community involvement
- Personal projects or interest in financial literacy, planning, or wellness
