About This Role:

Join our OutSystems R&D team as a Senior Software Engineer and become a key contributor to the development of our next-generation frontend platform components. 

If you're a natural problem solver with a curious mindset, this role is perfect for you! 

You'll collaborate with a dynamic group of teams dedicated to pushing the boundaries of our platform's front-end capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Solutions: Collaborate with the team to design and develop solutions, adhering to development processes such as TDD, BDD, and code reviews.

  • Feature Implementation: Design and implement features that simplify complex front-end development tasks for OutSystems developers, ensuring excellent development and end-user experiences.

  • Automated Code Production and Testing: Produce and test code in short cycles with a high degree of automation.

  • Scalable Solutions Development: Focus on developing maintainable solutions that can scale to thousands of users.

  • Best Practices and Continuous Delivery: Apply knowledge of product development best practices, continuous delivery, and testing.

  • Ionic Framework Contribution: Contribute to the Ionic framework through bug fixes, feature development, and performance optimizations.

  • Low-Code UI Components: Enhance and maintain low-code UI components to ensure quality and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Exceptional candidates without a degree but with proven expertise are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience: 4+ years of software development experience.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, Object-Oriented architecture, and Atomic Design/UI Composition.

  • Learning and Mentoring: Passionate about learning and helping others navigate complex subjects.

  • Innovation and Trends: Drive to understand the latest web development trends and advancements to keep the framework at the cutting edge.

  • Problem-solving: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Best Practices: Knowledge of continuous delivery and testing techniques.

  • Team Contribution: Enthusiastic about bringing development best practices to the team and driving innovation.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills

  • Autonomy and Adaptability: Highly autonomous and a fast learner.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and experience with React, Angular and Vue.

  • Additional Experience:

    • Experience with the Ionic Framework or similar design systems (strong plus).

    • Experience with Stencil or similar Web Component compilers (strong plus).

    • Contributions to open-source projects or frameworks (strong plus).

    • Experience working with abstract syntax trees (AST) (strong plus).

    • Experience with OutSystems low-code platform development (a plus).
