We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior FinOps Engineer to help drive financial accountability and cost optimization across our cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. In this role, you will blend cloud financial management, data engineering, analytics, and observability to improve efficiency, performance, and cost transparency across the organization. As a Senior FinOps Engineer in this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support FinOps reporting, forecasting, and automated insights.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations to track cloud and application usage, spend, and efficiency metrics.
- Analyze usage patterns to identify cost‑saving opportunities, eliminate waste, and improve infrastructure performance.
- Support and enhance budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and showback processes across multi-cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Partner with engineering, finance, and product teams to embed FinOps best practices into daily operations.
- Possess 5+ years experience in FinOps, Cloud Engineering, or Data Engineering.
- Possess hands-on experience with AWS and Azure platforms and services.
- Proficient and possess demonstrated experience with SQL, Python and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
- Proficient experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience with standard CI/CD development processes.
- Solid understanding of cloud cost management tools and optimization methodologies.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar certification.
- Background in finance or cloud infrastructure operations.
