Role Overview

Compass Surgical Partners is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial performance across our ambulatory surgery center (ASC) portfolio. This role will partner closely with finance and operations leadership to analyze financial performance, identify key business drivers, and support decision-making through clear financial insights and modeling. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in strengthening financial visibility across the organization and supporting Compass’ continued growth through data-driven insights and strong financial partnership with operational leaders.

This position is open to candidates based remotely within the United States, with a hybrid option available for those located in the Raleigh, NC area.

What You’ll Do

Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Support monthly financial reporting for assigned surgery centers, including variance analysis and identification of key performance drivers

  • Analyze trends in revenue, case mix, payer mix, and cost structure to help explain financial performance

  • Work with the finance team to translate financial results into clear insights that support operational decision-making

Forecasting & Planning

  • Contribute to quarterly and annual forecasting processes for assigned centers

  • Maintain financial projections at the center and portfolio level

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact financial performance

Business Partnership with Operations

  • Collaborate with center administrators and operations leadership to better understand operational drivers of financial performance

  • Communicate financial results and insights to non-finance stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

Financial Modeling & Decision Support

  • Build and maintain financial models that connect operational metrics (volume, payer mix, utilization) to financial outcomes

  • Support ad hoc analyses related to operational initiatives, growth opportunities, and strategic decisions

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Build and maintain scalable reporting templates and financial models

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data visibility as the organization grows

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related analytical field

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related analytical role

  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)

  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills

  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into clear insights for business partners

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial results to non-finance stakeholders

  • Curiosity and interest in understanding operational drivers of financial performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare services, multi-site businesses, or private equity–backed environments

  • Experience working with business intelligence or data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • Experience working with financial systems or ERP platforms (e.g., Sage Intacct)

  • Comfort working with large datasets and building dashboards to support financial reporting and operational decision-making
