Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance
Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance, is a key member of the FP&A team, responsible for partnering with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making across SharkNinja's North America Retail organization. This highly visible role supports pricing strategy, promotional planning, and in-depth margin analysis, working closely with the Sales and Commercialization teams. Essential Functions
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and implement internal reporting processes using BI tools to support:
- Promotional investments
- Assortment transitions and planning
- Detailed margin and profitability analysis
- Build and synthesize data from multiple sources to produce clear, actionable insights.
- Manage weekly data analytics to inform real-time business planning and promotional performance.
- Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to assess trade spend by activity and account.
- Partner with Commercial Leadership to develop pricing and promotional strategies that optimize profitability.
- Develop robust financial models to evaluate new business opportunities and initiatives.
- Drive ad hoc analyses and special projects to support leadership decision-making.
- Contribute to product assortment planning and transition strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and lead automation efforts to elevate analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in consumer products or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accountability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; capable of influencing and partnering across departments.
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative in driving process improvements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex modeling.
- Experience with Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing actionable conclusions.
