The Senior Financial Analyst will support Enterprise Clinical Services (ECS) and OptumHealth Risk Operations. This role is responsible for various tasks and will collaborate across the ECS Finance team to ensure accurate financials are presented to various stakeholders.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with ECS Finance & Operational leads to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial executive packages
  • Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiency
  • Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain monthly and forecast financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
  • Develop and perform all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Support Utilization Management Finance leads to deliverable of sound financials and analytics
  • Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • 1+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, formula functions, ability to troubleshoot), MS Office product suite, and other technological tools
  • Proven solid financial, analytical, and business acumen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and with a cross-functional partners
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) at both the working and executive level

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
